Article Writing for Traffic
Feb 3rd
Anybody can get tons of free, targeted traffic with article writing.
Article marketing is a well known and very effective traffic generation method for a few reasons:
1. By writing articles you get multiple back links to your website or blog which boosts your SERPs
2. The traffic you receive from articles is 100% targeted
3. If your articles are well written and submitted correctly, your work will be listed on first or second page on Google search under some of your most profitable keywords. This means that you will spend less money on PPC as well.
There are few keypoint which you need to follow in order to generate traffic by using articles
1. Research
Never select topics/keywords to write articles on before having done your research, having chosen your product that is proven to convert and most importantly – before having set up a quality landing page to promote.
2. Create your promotion
This varies and should be based on your research data
3. Find keywords and key phrases
Find targeted keywords relevant to your landing page – you can do this by using Market Samurai or Google’s keyword tool
4. Evaluate your keywords – which ones convert and which ones do not
This step is not mandatory, but if you want optimal results, you’d better test them with Adwords by setting up a quick campaign
You should know that keywords are not generated equal. Some convert, others do not, but after all you want to write articles that rank well and convert into sales. Adwords is an easy way of finding this information out. Another reason for doing this is that you can also estimate which phrases are getting the more traffic, and you can evaluate that by the number of impressions for a particular keyword. Thus you can narrow down your keyword selections and only bid on ones that people are actually searching for.
5. Evaluate your competitors
Once you have already prepared your keyword list (around 60 or so) you need to determine which phrases you can realistically rank for in SEs. The reason I say realistically is that there would obviously be no point in targeting phrases such as “learn Forex”.
There is some very serious competition for this term and you can hardly have a chance to rank in the top ten results. For such topics you need to go for longer tail keywords.
The best way of checking whether you can target a certain phrase is to do a “phrase search” in Google. Enter your phrase into the search bar and add to it inverted commas around. For example: “best forex trading software”. In this instance, this phrase has 28,200 results found (at the time of writing this article.). And though that this may seem a lot, it really is not. Remember that you can target almost any phrase that has under 35,000 results using Ezinearticles.
What you need to do next is write a relevant and unique article that includes your previously prepared phrases 5/6 times for each of them in the text, submit it to the directory and you’d likely get to the top 10.
6. Create article titles based on your keyword phrases
Having determined your phrases, next thing to do is to create article titles for every one. Titles must include the targeted phrases and must definitely draw attention.
You can actually be amazed with people coming up with extremely boring titles for their articles. For instance: if I wanted to target the term “article writing”, I would not make the article title:
“The top 10 best article writing tips”
But:
“10 sizzling article writing tips that will slash your competition in no time”
Remember that both with Adwords ads and the organic results all on one page, there is a lot of data a user to skim through. This is the reason why you need to stand out of the crowd if you want people to click and read your article. If you take the needed time to compose great titles, you will eventually double the traffic. Mark my words on that. You may decide to outsource your article writing, but you should always do your article titles yourself. This is that important!
7. Writing the articles
The next step is expectably to write your articles. You can pay someone to do this for you, but you will need an exclusive license to do that, or you can do them by yourself, it is up to your decision.
7.1 Writing Yourself
Writing articles is time consuming and if you approach it in this way, try to write and submit one article per day and thus build a consistent traffic.
How to write them…
The only source I use is EzineArticles.
What most people are doing is searching within Ezine Articles for relevant information to their topic. Since this directory consists of hundereds of thousands of articles, 99% of the time you’ll find out that all the research is done for you and provided that your job will be to rewrite the article with your own words, thoughts and know-how. There is another option which lures article writers – private label rights (PLR) articles. I do not recommend you PLR, I have never tolerated it and most of the article directories do not tolerate PLR as well.
Whatever you decide to do with your article writing , there are a couple of crucially important factors you need to pay in mind.
Since article directories are quite picky about what they accept, make your content informative and useful, provide value to your materials, do not just copy what others write. Leaving sales-like text will not only mean that you are more likely to be accepted, but also that your intext links are more likely to be clicked on.
You should always include a link within the text (if this is allowed) – not solely in the author’s bio box. For example, if I publish an article titled “Make big money with article writing – beginners guide”, and if I include a targeted link as high in the article content as I am allowed, when someone searches for the term “make money writing articles” on Google, clicks my article link and then starts to read the text, their eyes are in no time drawn to the highlighted blue link which anchor text is quite the same phrase they were searching for in the first place in Google. How about that?
In case the reader does not click after all, they will most likely continue till the bottom of the article and click on the links in the bio box.
Last note:
There are many people who say that getting traffic from articles can be an awful waste of precious time. Though it may be time consuming, it is, most importantly, free and if done with correct research, it can actually be a very effective traffic tactic.
Google Annihilation backdoor now EXPOSED
Jan 27th
(EDIT 03.01.2009 – Google Annihialtion has been “sold out”, but you can still register for free using the technique described below)
(EDIT 30.01.2009 – Google Annihialtion has reopened, the backdoor is still there, i am not removing this post, though)
Today i decided that it is time for a follow up post regarding the Google Annihilation backdoor i wrote about last week.
Since end of last week the website http://googleannihilation.com reads that the product has already been sold out for now, so i think that now i can disclose what was the backdoor i found.
First off, before buying any electronic product in the “get rich online” niche, i advise you to try the commonly known method with goole search “site: anyurl.com” (without commas and with the particular product url). Since most of these websites are poorly produced and in a hurry, their webmasters do not oftenly protect their sales product and of course Google’s spiders index the url of the product they sell for 10 up to 100 $. Another known technique to bypass paying for a product is searching for inurl: “cbreceipt” (mostly clickbank products, which some people buy like crazy), but the results are not going to be concrete. In order to keep it more ethical, my further advice is that in case you get access to e-products by these or similar techniques and you happen to really like it and decide it is valuable, go pay its value after all. You will at least be sure that there is actual value you are paying for.
So… in order to get in Google Annihilation i did not use the cbreceipt method, neither i used someone else’s login details. I used the site:googleannihilation.com. Google did not give me much results. There were actually two results.
They were:
http://googleannihilation.com/index.php
By nature, you would decide that the index.php URL would lead you to googleannihilation.com, but it did not.
http://googleannihilation.com/index.php was the log-in page. And guess what, they had forgotten to remove the “Register” button from their log-in module! And, of course, i decided to register and see what happens next.
(NOTICE:Since they stopped the sales, they also closed the “register” module)
After i logged in i was directed to another sales page which eventually would make me buy another product – SEO online course. I left that and proceeded to the Google Annihilation on-site software.
Google Annihilation software review:
I got in and what i found was a module to add a domain. After i added my domain (this blog’s domain) i had to fill in details about the actual website – keywords, categories, etc. Then i had to enter my header and footer html in order to generate a *.php page which later i had to upload in my domain’s root directory.
Further, this otherwise simple, but yet quite expensive software, was so buggy, that it could not generate the *.php and this problem persisted for 5 days!
The technique standing behind this service is called Three-way Links Building. And this is anything, but a first-timer around. This technique and similar to it, are actually quite popular and would eventually bring you some traffic and improve your SERPs, but it will not take much for the search engines to notice this “link farm” and, consequently, to deindex your site. At the end i decided to try the service for a week, but for 7 days Google Annihilation’s brought me just one visitor. Heh?
If you are in any case interested in seeing for yourself what this “thing” looks like, you will not be able to use the mentioned backdoor. But if you after all want to sneak a peak, drop me a comment.
Why we love Twitter?
Jan 26th
Welcome to the Twitter Mania!
Have you ever asked yourself the question why you love Twitter so much? Personally i do not get addicted to any online platform, i tend to be more of a rational person and i use many platforms with equal appeal, but recently i find myself wondering for what to tweet next!
I know many people who have never been in any way tempted by the web, but yet they use Twitter, and nothing else.
There may be different reasons for people to love Twitter so much, but here are mine:
1. Social Conversation Made Easy
Unlike other social platforms (blogs, facebook, etc), Twitter is easy and very quick to sign-up with and takes relatively a small time investment. Getting started is easy, it is not complex and it supports just enough, straight-to-the point features.
2. Mobility
“Tweets” can be sent as well via Mobiles as via PCs. Its mobility makes it a powerful tool to stay in touch with an extended group of people (followers) when you are away from your “box”.
3. There is no right or wrong way to use it!
Well, Twitter is a place for any kind of people. Some just tweet what they are doing, others chat, exchange links and co-ordinate events, and others even market with Twitter. Using Twitter depends only on your personal appeal.
4. I can connect my blog to Twitter
Today i came across TwitterFeed – a plug-in which updates on a regular basis my tweets with the latest posts from my blog. I heartfully recommend it. You will need an OpenID to sign-up with it.
5. I can use it for business
Using Twitter for business is not something new. Every social platform, actually, is used for business more than it is used from just regular users who just want to SHAREEEE ; ) Using twitter for business is a different topic, however, but i recommend you this article HERE. I came across this blog accidentally today, but i found it interesting. You can find its link in my Blogroll – Hype Free Internet Tips. Also its webmaster looks like a very nice guy.
So, why do you love Twitter? : )

Very smart SEO/Adwords tip
Jan 11th
There are people which would make you pay in order for you to get this advice. Here, however, you get it for free. I personally tested the method and it works. It is quite logical (not magical as many paid ebooks would assume), so there is no way for it to not work. So here it goes…
Set your daily budget to let’s say $30.00
After that set your keyword bids to 4 – 5 times higher than the current bid requirement.
Add up to 1-5 keywords in every ad group you have. Then make sure every ad group is named in relation to the ad campaign name. This is very important!

Google will then place your ads at the top, ensure that your ads’ copies are good enough to generate clicks. Your CTR will then increase massively. While assuming you have all the onpage trust factors going on, ie, contact us page, disclaimer, privacy policy page, terms of use, home address, contact number, email, contact form, etc, you’ll build the QS score to a position of “GREAT”
Once your CTR is around 5-25%, reduce the bid cost of each keyword down by half. You should notice that your number of clicks per day is still the same, assuming your QS is still “GREAT”, you will never pay the total amount you initially set the bid cost at, you will always pay 1 cent more than the person at the top.
The next day, since your CTR is still rather high, reduce the bid cost down by 10-20% of the actual price google initially wanted for that keyword, so, if it was 50 cents, reduce it to 40 – 45 cents. This will still give you top position, while everyone else pays the top amount to be in position 1, but there’s no guarantee that they will be in position one since it’s a matter of how good their advert is to drive the CTR up through the roof, then every other day, reduce the bid cost down by 3-10 cents to a optimal point that your ad is still in the top position.. As you start building history with google, you can then set bids at around 5 – 10 cents and still be at the top while everyone else pays top dollar just to get the top. ;)
Google grasps even a stronger hold on the internet with a new service
Nov 27th
I guess we all remember it when Google bought YouTube in 2006 for 1 650 000 000 (1.65 billion).
It is inevitable for such a buyer to not look for more and more ways to get revenue of a product so that the amount paid for it pays out itself.
Provided that and, their success with the AdWords model, it was not surprising that on 11 November Google announced its new service – Youtube Sponsored Videos.
How does it work?
Content owners are enabled to decide where their video is published, place bids (same as AdWords) and set daily spending budgets. After that, when YouTube users are browsing videos, YouTube displays relevant videos alongside search results. Ofcourse there is a label that these are “sponsored videos” and are priced on CPC basis.
It is obvious that this is yet another platform and thus a channel for viral marketing, which means that platforms like GoViral can begin competing YouTube immediately.
Currently YouTube Sponsored Videos is available only in the United States, it will soon be available, however, to other countries as well.
If you are interested in the service, you can visit ads.youtube.com
Or if you are only interested on how it works, you can watch this video.
