Few steps to make profit from your blog
If you start researching on how to monetize your blog or website you’d end up literally flooded with tons of information on different affiliate programs, ppc programs, etc, most of which are totally worthless. I have been researching the “make money online” topic for quite a few years, never been directly involved in it however, so calm down, i wont make you buy anything now.
The key to NOT spending time to research and get awfully confused at the end is to actually follow successful bloggers who support the money-making-through-blogging-community with their own know-how. Such blogger for example is John Chow. You will not be sorry if you also download his Make money online e-book for free.
But back on topic here are few tips which if covered can bring you a lot of success online.
1. Most important thing to start with is defining a niche. If you have not figured it out yet, maybe you should sit down and think, what do you want to communicate through your blog, what do you want to sell, most importantly, what does the market want and what interest you in the market.
When you answer these questions you will be able to tell in which market niche you should establish.
2. An important step is to go register a domain and find an appropriate hosting service.
3. Set-up your blog (WordPress, for example).
4. Monetize. Go to Google Adsense and open an account. Sign-up for affiliate programs such as ClickBank or Commission Junction – those are quite worth. Add any other advertising programs (some are mentioned in the John Chow e-book)
5. The most important thing is the content (content is king). Write high quality content – to do that do research regularly. Write it, read it, correct grammar mistakes, punctuation and write it again and just after that post it. Optimize it and then Trackback it.
6. Social-Networking is very important in order to drive targeted traffic to your website and get loyal readers/subscribers. To start networking with other net users, write post to other blogs, but never spam them, “ping” networks such as StumbleUpon, Reddit, del.icio.us, digg.
7. Drive more and more traffic by signing up with free accounts to Facebook, Propeller. MyBlogLog, BlogRush, Blog Catalog, Feedburner, etc…
8. Follow that traffic – get a free Google Analytics account.
9. Do all of the previews 8 steps over and over again.
I will be posting more tips on the topic later. Have fun blogging or please share your experience with blogging for profits.
